BENEFITS OF BEING A CHAMBER MEMBER

1. Iron County Support — Your membership helps fund the Chamber of Commerce to promote business and tourism in Iron County.
2. Membership Directory — This is a booklet that contains all of the Chamber members. It includes categorical listings, addresses and phone numbers. This goes out yearly to all members. and is sent out to persons wishing to relocate to Iron County. The directory is updated whenever there is a new member and/or information changes.
3. Advertisement — As chamber personnel, we are able to direct visitors and all inquires to you when someone is looking for the service your business offers. You are able and encouraged to put brochures and posters in the Chamber office.
4. Insurance — Being a member of the Chamber of Commerce entitles you and your employees the opportunities to obtain group health, life, and disability insurance. The health portion is underwritten by Blue Cross and Blue Shield of Michigan.
   
   1. Blue Cross/Blue Shield to all chamber members (must be in business for 1 yr to qualify) AFLAC is available also.
   2. Discount on workman's comp policy.

5. Advertising — The chamber staff will help you design a brochure for your business.
6. LINK — Your business can be linked to the chamber website, www.iron.org. We a also linked to Crystal Falls and Iron River.
7. Ribbon Cutting — For your new business or if your a current member opening at a new location, We will notify the local papers and organize a Ribbon Cutting for you.
8. Business After Hours — for Chamber members and their employees. Business after hours is sponsored by a local business and hosted by a local business. It is a social event for the members of the Chamber and their employees. This is a nice way for businesses to network.
9. Newsletter — information on training, seminars, legal issues that can affect business in Iron County, information as we get it.
10. Travel Information & Area Brochures — are available for tourists, and for locals who are having friends and relatives visit. The visitor center portion of our office is financially supported by the Iron County Chamber of Commerce members. This provides resources such as Lodging, Travel, Events, Recreation, Relocation packets, Builders, Suppliers and Shopping and Shopping. We handle 400-500 service calls a month.
11. Future Programs — being developed for Chamber members consist of a gift crtificate program and advertising in the newsletter. Let us know if you are interested.
12. Training — Training and seminars are available. If you or your employees have a special need we will try to provide you with that training.
