Freedom of Information Request Form
Sue Clisch , Executive Assistant to the Iron County Board of Commissioners and County Administrator, has been designated as Iron County’s Freedom of Information (FOIA) Coordinator to accept and process requests for public records.
Under the Freedom of Information Act 442 of 1976, a person has a right to request to:
1) Inspect
2) Receive a copy of
3) Subscribe to regular issuances of identifiable records
The request must be in writing and must sufficiently describe the “public records” or information that is included in identifiable public records. FOIA defines a public record as a writing prepared, owned, used, in the possession of, or retained by the public body in the performance of an official function, from the time it is created.
All Iron County Courthouse Complex FOIA’s requests shall be directed to Clisch by use of one of the following methods:

All FOIA Appeals shall be addressed to County Board Chair Rosalie King and directed to FOIA Coordinator Clisch.
Notes:
~ The County of Iron will not perform legal research/opinions for you.
~ Your request must state that you are requesting a specific document(s) under FOIA and be willing to pay for the document, possible research, as well as postage costs.
~ No FOIA responses will be emailed per policy of the Iron County Board of Commissioners.
All responses will be written and sent to the address provided.
~ The County of Iron has five business days “after receiving a request” to respond to the request for public record. The County of Iron may extend this time by an additional 10 business days by notifying the requester in writing.
